About this song Shankar Mahadevan says that when this song came to me. I agreed without a second thought and the funny thing is that a few days ago there was a morning show. The feet of all the saints were kept for darshan, including the feet of Swami Samarth. At that time the trustees of Akkalkot met me and some things were discussed about Swami Samarth. Mandar Cholkar has written a very nice song and Praveen has given a very beautiful melody and music. I felt very happy while singing this.

Heard countless songs about Swami Samarth. But I didn’t want to sing like bhajan, kirtan. Then my musician and childhood friend Praveen Kuvar had a discussion with him and then a meeting with Mandar Cholkar, a leading singer in Marathi.
After much discussion, the core of the song was decided and Shankar Mahadevan was chosen as the singer. Shankar Mahadevan means famous name in Hindi. Then we thought of giving Sufi touch to this song. Since this was Shankar Mahadevan’s first song on Swami Samarth, we had the idea to make it different and thus another different song was made by Swami Samarth. Or brought about by Swami Samarth.
