    • International students pursuing legitimate academic goals at recognized institutions are welcome in the US: Jarron Decker, Director – Graduate Admissions, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
    • America STEM Strong: Vision 2026 reaffirms confidence in US graduate education; formally introduces RPI to Indian education partners

New Delhi [India], February 02: Amid evolving global conversations on immigration and geopolitics, senior education leaders have reiterated that the United States continues to be one of the world’s most secure, structured, and opportunity-rich destinations for international students—particularly those pursuing advanced education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Reinforcing this message, America STEM Strong: Vision 2026, an initiative by InUni Global, was held in the national capital and formally marked the launch of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in India through InUni’s university partnership platform.

“International students pursuing legitimate academic goals at recognized institutions continue to be welcomed and supported in the United States,” said Jarron Decker, Director – Graduate Admissions, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. “At RPI, graduate students are integral to our research mission. They are contributors, innovators and future leaders, and the US graduate education ecosystem remains deeply committed to enabling their success.”

The event comes at a time when students and families globally are seeking clarity amid media narratives that often highlight uncertainty. Education leaders emphasized that the US maintains a well-established framework that clearly distinguishes student mobility from broader immigration discourse. Universities, government agencies and industry stakeholders continue to strongly support student visas, campus safety, academic freedom and international research collaboration.

“There is a significant gap between perception and reality,” said Blerina Polovina, Associate Vice President – International Student Recruitment & Partnerships, InUni Global.
“While headlines may amplify uncertainty, the reality is that students who choose accredited institutions and well-defined programmes in the US continue to achieve strong academic and career outcomes. America STEM Strong: Vision 2026 is about replacing noise with facts, confidence and long-term perspective.”

Polovina added that the fundamentals of US graduate education remain exceptionally robust. The country hosts the highest concentration of globally ranked STEM universities, supported by unparalleled research funding, innovation ecosystems and industry collaboration. Graduate students, she noted, are not only learners but active contributors to discovery and innovation across engineering, computing, science, architecture and management disciplines.

Smail ElMoize, Director – US Recruitment (South Asia, Middle East and Africa), InUni Global, said, “Our ongoing engagement with universities, employers and students consistently points to one conclusion—the US remains central to global STEM talent development. What students need today is clarity and trusted guidance, and that is precisely what this initiative aims to provide.”

Global demand for skilled STEM professionals continues to rise, and US graduate programmes remain uniquely positioned to meet this demand through rigorous academics, advanced research infrastructure and strong employability outcomes. For students focused on excellence, innovation and global career pathways, a US education continues to offer unmatched value.

America STEM Strong: Vision 2026 brought together over 30 leading education partners from North India, providing them direct engagement with RPI’s senior leadership. Participants received in-depth insights into RPI’s graduate programmes, admissions philosophy, research strengths and industry-aligned educational approach.

“Our collaboration with InUni Global enables deeper engagement with high-quality education partners and prospective students in India,” Decker added. “We look forward to showcasing how an RPI education delivers technical depth, applied learning and global credibility.”

Neha Shetty, Regional Director – India, Global University Systems (GUS), North America, overseeing all InUni partner institutions, noted that Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, now introduced in India through the InUni platform, is one of the oldest technology and research institutions in the United States, with a legacy spanning over 200 years.

“RPI has made significant investments in research and is equally renowned for its strong alumni network. This alumni support is a major advantage for students pursuing education at RPI. “The institute houses distinguished schools spanning engineering, science, architecture, management, information technology and the humanities,” she said.
