Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India] August 2 : Amina J. Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations met Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu, at the UN headquarters in New York where Bapu is addressing a landmark Ram Katha from July 27 to August 4. This is the first time a spiritual leader is holding such an event at the United Nations. Morari Bapu, who has dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Lord Ram and the Ramcharitmanas, has named the katha Manas Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, reflecting the traditional Indian ethos of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means The world is one family. Morari Bapu has repeatedly appealed for bringing an end to the ongoing armed conflicts between Ukraine and Russia and Israel and Palestine and advocated for peace. He has also proposed holding a Ram Katha discourse at the Ukraine-Russia border.
