Three Brave Daughters and an Air Ambulance: A Story of Courage, Crisis, and Hope

New Delhi [India], July 18: In a heartbreaking yet inspiring story, The Rescue Federation® successfully transferred a critical patient, Mr. Rajnandan Singh, from Medanta Hospital Patna to Max Hospital Delhi via private air ambulance on 2nd July 2025 – a mission filled with urgency, emotion, and extraordinary resilience.

The 56-year-old patient suffered a traumatic road accident in Aurangabad, Bihar, resulting in a severe Subdural Hematoma (SDH) and Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH). During his hospital stay in Patna, he developed a pulmonary infection, further complicating his already critical condition.

But the true essence of this story lies not just in the medical details – it’s in the spirit of three young daughters, especially 24-year-old Ms. Sandhya, a 4th-year MBBS student, who rose like warriors in the face of crisis. With no elder to guide or support them, these three sisters – all under 25 – handled what would shake even the strongest families: making life-or-death decisions, arranging critical finances, communicating with doctors, and coordinating the complex air transfer – all on their own.

Despite the emotional storm, the sisters showed immense clarity, grit, and love. Their efforts were not only a tribute to their father’s life but also a testament to the courage that sometimes comes from the youngest shoulders in the hardest moments. The Rescue Federation’s® air medical team, consisting of experienced doctors, paramedics, and two dedicated pilots, ensured the safe transport of the patient in a time-critical window. Fully equipped with a hi-tech ventilator, cardiac monitor, suction machine, and emergency medicines, the aircraft flew from Patna to Delhi in just under three hours.

“In every mission we fly, there’s a story – but this one moved all of us deeply. These young women reminded us why we do what we do,” said Dr. Amit Magare, Founder of The Rescue Federation®.

Now admitted at Max Hospital Delhi, Mr. Singh is under expert observation, and his daughters remain hopeful. This isn’t just a medical transport story – it’s about love, sacrifice, and what families are capable of when the world feels like it’s falling apart. The Rescue Federation® is honoured to have played a part in this family’s fight, and salutes the strength of these three daughters whose bravery brought their father a fighting chance.
