Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], January 20: The first-ever East Ahmedabad Half Marathon, dedicated to promoting fitness and spreading awareness about cardiac, neuro and orthopedic health, was held in Nikol on Sunday, January 19.
Presented by Harmony Hospital, Nikol and Mount Litera Zee School, the first East Ahmedabad Half Marathon saw a large number of health-conscious participants in the 21 km, 10 km and 5 km categories.
Dr. Mukesh Patel of Harmony Hospital said, “We are very excited by organizing the first-ever East Ahmedabad Half Marathon, which not only provided a platform for running, but also for educating and inspiring citizens about the importance of fitness in preventing and managing cardiac, neuro and orthopedic health challenges.”
“The aim was to inspire people to make healthy lifestyle choices and raise awareness about serious health issues,” said Dr.Shaishav Soni of Trinay Orthopaedic Hospital.
Traffic DCP (East Zone) Safin Hasan, AMA President Dr. Dhiren Mehta and Daskroi MLA Babubhai Patel were present at the flag-off and prize distribution ceremony of the event.
Dr. Paresh Gohel, Chairman, Mount Litera Zee School, said, “The East Ahmedabad Half Marathon was an important step in promoting a culture of fitness and preventive healthcare among the citizens.”

The event was presented by Harmony Hospital and Mount Litera Zee School and managed by Pixel Plus Diagnostics and Trinay Orthopaedic Hospital, supported by Rhythm Group as the title sponsor, with Kaka PVC, Sridhar Group and Rishav Group as co-sponsors.
