    Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 10: In a remarkable stride toward nurturing cricket talent across Uttar Pradesh, Sai Cricket Academy has officially acquired its own franchise, “Uttar Pradesh Kings,” which will compete in the upcoming Epic Victory Cricket League (EVCL). This initiative is set to bring new recognition to the academy and offer young players a unique opportunity to train and play alongside celebrated cricketing icons from India and abroad.

    A Platform for Emerging Talent

    The newly launched Uttar Pradesh Kings franchise is focused on identifying and developing young, skilled players. To ensure that every talented cricketer gets a fair chance, the team will conduct net bowler selections and wild card entries, offering deserving players an opportunity to showcase their talent on a professional stage.

    • Zaheer Shaikh – Former First-Class Cricketer

    Message from the Director

    Mr. Sachin Kumar Tomar, International Cricket Coach and Director of Sai Cricket Academy, expressed his vision for the future of regional cricket, saying:

    “For the past nine years, Sai Cricket Academy has been providing consistent training to children and young players. Our aim is to launch our franchise in both the Uttar Pradesh Premier League and Uttarakhand Premier League next year, giving players a bigger platform to perform and grow.”

    He added that this achievement is not only a proud moment for Sai Cricket Academy but also for the entire state of Uttar Pradesh, as it strengthens opportunities for players to represent India at higher levels of the game.

    About EVCL and Star Participation

    The Epic Victory Cricket League (EVCL) is set to take place in October 2025, with matches hosted across Lucknow and Dehradun. The event will be televised live on national sports channels, providing widespread exposure for players and teams.

    The EVCL will feature several iconic names from Indian and international cricket, including:
    Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Praveen Kumar, Saurabh Tiwary, Ross Taylor, Peter Trego, Anureet Singh, Munaf Patel, Phil Mustard, Kamran Khan, Christopher Mofu, and more than 25 international stars.

    This tournament will not only offer entertainment but also serve as a learning experience for young players who will have the chance to share the field with global cricket legends.
