Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 2: Child Help Foundation, a Pan-India non-profit organization, has been tirelessly working for the last few months to provide relief to the flood victims of Himachal Pradesh. Flash floods and landslides during this year’s monsoon season have caused unprecedented damage to both lives and assets in Himachal Pradesh. The death toll has crossed 150, and lakhs of people have become homeless. In the midst of this natural disaster, the NGO is distributing essentials like ration kits, which consist of Wheat, Rice, Pulses, Mustard Oil, Refined Oil, Masala, Salt, Amul Milk, Turmeric, Kashmiri mirchi, Sugar and Tea.

The Volunteers of Child Help Foundation are reaching out to remote areas of Himachal Pradesh where the lives of people have been miserable for days, with no food and basic amenities to survive. The volunteers are distributing Blankets, Tarpal, Medical Kits, Water Bottles along with ration kits and basic amenities.

Child Help Foundation’s team has always been at the forefront during the time of need for helping the people of our country. In the past, the NGO has aided thousands of people during the Assam floods and other difficult times with whatever help possible.

Talking about the relief efforts, Mr. Shaji Varghese, Chief Executive Officer of Child Help Foundation, said “It is shocking to see the condition of people affected by landslide and flash floods for weeks now. Thousands of people are fighting to live without food, electricity, shelter and, basic amenities amid unstoppable rainfall and floods. In such tough times, the entire team of Child Help Foundation stands strong with the people of Himachal Pradesh and we will together face this disaster. The team is providing all possible help to people stuck in remote areas where there is absolutely no food or shelter. It is our responsibility as one of the leading NGOs in India to help them as much as we can. We are raising the maximum funds possible for this mission, and I would like to personally thank all our donors for donating whatever is possible for the flood victims with an open heart. This mission would not have been possible without their participation, kindness and generosity.”

Every month, the NGO conducts various campaigns and activities across India to help the needy. Reaching out to 33 lakh beneficiaries has been a tough task, but in these 12 years, the Child Help Foundation has put its best foot forward to help the needy. The NGO has won many awards for its impeccable work for the society. The awards won are ‘Best Health Care NGO’ of the Year 2018, ‘CMO Asia’s NGO Excellence Awards for Social Consciousness NGO Leadership and Excellence,’ ‘Mahatma Award for Social Good and Impact’ at Mahatma Award 2022, National Awards 2021 for ‘Best Covid-19 NGO for Community,’ ‘Best NGO for Education for Girl Child,’ ‘Best NGO of the Year-2022’ at the Indian CSR Awards among many more.
