    New Leadership Takes Charge at Gujarat Media Club for 2025-27 under the Presidentship of Mr. Nirnay Kapoor

    Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 26:  The Gujarat Media Club (GMC), a prominent association of media professionals in the state, has announced its new executive body for the term 2025-27 following a successful election process. Shri Himanshu Upadhyay, the Returning Officer for GMC Elections 2025, confirmed that Mr. Nirnay Kapoor was the sole candidate for the post of President and has been elected unopposed.

    As per the Club’s bye-laws and in consultation with the company secretary, a team of nine office-bearers has been appointed to lead GMC for the next two years. The newly constituted leadership team is as follows:

    GMC Office Bearers (2025-27):

    • President: Nirnay Kapoor
    • Senior Vice President: Dixit Soni
    • Vice Presidents: Ashish Amin, Rajiv Pathak
    • Secretary General: Sanjay Pandey
    • Secretary: Shatrughan Sharma
    • Joint Secretaries: Manish Desai, Bhargav Parikh
    • Treasurer: Ajit Solanki

    Additionally, six members have been co-opted into the GMC Executive Committee to ensure broader representation of media entities and professionals across Gujarat:

    GMC Executive Committee Members (2025-27):

    • Dhaval Bharwad
    • Yogesh Chavda
    • Madan Menon
    • Himanshu Upadhyay
    • Rutam Vora
    • Alkesh Patel

    With this new team in place, Gujarat Media Club is set to embark on a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare and professional development of media personnel across the state. The outgoing committee, through its dedicated efforts, successfully generated funds to build a corpus aimed at supporting welfare initiatives and promoting the health and well-being of GMC members. Additionally, over the past three years, the Club has extended financial assistance to the families of both GMC members and non-members in times of bereavement. The newly appointed leadership is committed to fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment for journalists, editors, and media professionals.

    The Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to Shri Himanshu Upadhyay for efficiently overseeing the election process and ensuring free and fair polls. The GMC looks forward to an active and impactful term under the new leadership.
