New Delhi [India], July 28: Akshaj Gupta, a prodigious 13-year-old from Ridhhima’s Academy, has been honoured with the prestigious Rabindranath Tagore Award for Outstanding Contributions as the Flagbearer of the Literary Renaissance—a national-level recognition reserved for minds that shake the system and stir the soul.

As the author of Verses of the Soul, Akshaj doesn’t just write poetry—he awakens it. His verses explore friendship, emotion, dreams, and inner storms, all with the sensitivity of a thinker far beyond his years. Every line he crafts carries weight, woven with honesty and depth. “Poetry is how I understand the world and how I make sense of myself. It’s like my thoughts come alive and find meaning through rhythm,” says Akshaj.

There’s a quiet fire in his writing—a courage to reflect, question, and connect. His poems aren’t loud, but they linger. They leave a mark.

Behind this literary leap is the nurturing ground of Ridhhima’s Academy, where Akshaj was mentored not just to write, but to express with impact. “They helped me unlock the writer inside me. Publishing my own book felt massive, but Ridhhima Ma’am made me believe I could do it. And now… I have.”

To win a national award at 13 for original poetry is not just rare—it’s revolutionary. But for Akshaj, this is only the beginning.

He is not just a student. He is a voice. And he’s just getting started.
