New Delhi [India], May 22: “Goti lo” is not just a simple entertainer fictional story, it’s a factual situation of almost every family in present times.  It’s a journey, a quest and a sentimental and socio-cultural    odyssey  to trace one’s childhood, rich heritage, traditions, familial bonds and simple innocent but colourful  pastoral, rural India and its unfailing charms, which have been devastated with the onslaught   of rapid spread of western civilization and technological advancements, over indulgence  in modern gadgets and games, superficial sources of western entertainment leading to a cultural and traditional erosion  by degrading modern generation. This film is a humble endeavour to trace those lost treasures. The film will certainly make the audiences nostalgic by pushing them down the memory lane.

Traditional games such as Kabbadi, Gilli-danda, Gutte or Panchika, Marbles and Lattu were not just pastimes but skill development such as concentration, observation, memory etc. and taught moral lessons, team work, sportsman spirit and resilience. These games played in open fields, fostered strong bonds with mother earth. Before modern urban influences, such traditions nurtured identity and preserved the spirit of coexistence and cultural pride in rural India, the real India.

A US based NRG Gaurang Bhavsar’s thoughtful concern about present generation, inspired him to produce this film. His thoughts are shaped to a sensible and meaningful film script by Ashok Upadhyay and it has been directed by a very sensible and experienced award-winning director Deepak Antani as his 5th directorial venture.

The film boasts of a very talented cast and crew. Besides the renowned and veteran actor Manoj Joshi there is a host of talented and experienced actors like Mehul Buch, Makarand Shukla, Master Vishal Thakker, Dipen Rawal, Shweta Rawal, Ravi Rao and Satvi Choksi whose simple, innocent childhood friendship converts into a shy love story during the revisit of the Mehta family to their ancestral village. But the show stopper of the film is a child prodigy from the US, a multi-faceted boy Manav Rao. a singer, actor, dancer whose genius was spotted by Gaurang Bhavsar during a performance. Manav’s mysterious character of Chandu is a hub of the film. The film is shot at a very pristine, less explored location of Bamnaa village in Sabarkantha Dist. of Gujarat. There is another important adolescent character of NRG girl Tanya played very impressively by talented actress Bhavya Sirohi.

The film’s theme is very effectively conveyed through the melodious songs composed by Samir Mana duo which will linger in the memory of the audiences for a long time. One of the songs          ‘Hu ne Chandu chaana mana ..’ is a well-known iconic lyric penned by the legendary poet Ramesh Parekh.

Qualified cinematographer and editor Roopang Acharya’s technical creative touches adds to its simple making, which connects to the audiences easily.

“Goti lo!” is produced under the Aegis of Pragatya Films Pvt. Ltd. in association with ISH Creations (USA), who are keen on producing many more projects with serious, meaningful content.
