Gaurav Rungta highlights solar adoption and green manufacturing as pillars of sustainable industrial growth

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], December 15: Marking National Energy Conservation Day, Man Structurals Pvt. Ltd. reaffirmed its commitment to a sustainable future, announcing that nearly 30% of its operational energy now comes from on-site solar installations . The company’s solar infrastructure generates approximately 8 lakh kWh of clean energy annually, reducing its dependence on the conventional grid and contributing directly to national energy conservation efforts.

This transition also enables the company to cut an estimated 656–680 metric tons of CO₂ emissions every year —equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of more than 30,000 fully grown trees —reinforcing its long-term focus on responsible industrial growth and environmental stewardship.

Gaurav Rungta, Managing Director of Man Structurals Pvt. Ltd., emphasised that energy conservation is integral to the company’s identity.“For a heavy engineering firm, sustainable operations are not an add-on but a responsibility. Our solar initiative is a core part of our strategy, directly supporting India’s goals for energy security and a low-carbon economy,” Rungta stated. He underscored that this transition goes beyond cost savings, representing a deliberate commitment to conserving finite national resources.

The company’s conservation strategy extends beyond energy generation. Man Structurals integrates responsible manufacturing, waste minimisation, water conservation, and eco-friendly galvanising processes into its operations.

“Our modern infrastructure is built on eco-conscious principles, ensuring that industrial growth and environmental stewardship remain aligned,” Rungta added.

He also acknowledged the enabling role of Government of India initiatives such as the National Solar Mission, rooftop solar schemes, large-scale solar parks, and the recently announced National Energy Storage Mission (2024), all of which are accelerating renewable energy adoption across the industrial sector. Reaffirming its long-term vision, Man Structurals has set an ambitious target of meeting 50% of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2030.

On National Energy Conservation Day, Man Structurals called for collective action, stating:

“This day is a vital reminder for all organizations to evaluate their environmental impact. True conservation is a continuous journey requiring awareness, innovation, and steadfast dedication.”
