Kochi (Kerala) [India], February 12: Kochi City Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya emphasized the importance of engaging in activities that energize both the body and the mind. He stated that making physical activity a regular part of one’s life is beneficial for health. He was speaking after participating in the 21-kilometer category of the 3rd Federal Bank Kochi Marathon.
“It is always the police’s interest to work in collaboration with the public. This is a time when the fight against drug abuse is ongoing. The battle continues by encouraging the community to give up drugs and promoting sports activities. The police team participates in all marathons. The All India Police Sports Meet is coming soon, and competitions in badminton and table tennis will be held in Kochi,” the Commissioner said.
“There is an increase in drug cases in Kerala. People must give more thought to their health. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, people have started paying more attention to their well-being. Health must be maintained with discipline every day. Everyone should structure their exercise according to their health needs. If young people channel their attention to good activities, they can shape a better future and avoid unwanted incidents. If you start running early in the morning, you can make your day successful.”
“The Federal Bank Marathon is one of the best-organized events in Kerala’s sports sector. I am happy to have participated in it. People from different parts of the country have come to Kochi to run in the marathon.”
“People from various sectors of society participated in the marathon. IT professionals, businesspeople, students, doctors, and others from different fields took part. Therefore, I was able to meet many of them,” Putta Vimaladitya said.
