    Inclusivity Takes Centre Stage: Siyaram’s Champions Cricket for Visually Impaired Athletes

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 20: The highly anticipated Siyaram’s National Blind Cricket Tournament officially began today at the iconic CCI – Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. This event serves as a tribute to the resilience, extraordinary skill, and dedication of visually impaired cricketers from across India. Organised by Siyaram’s in partnership with the Blind Welfare Organisation (BWO), the tournament offers a much-needed professional platform for blind cricketers, furthering the cause of inclusivity in sports.

    The grand opening ceremony saw an impressive gathering of distinguished guests, including Shri. Girish Mahajan, Cabinet Minister and Shri. Prasad Lad, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council along with Shri. Ramesh Poddar, Chairman and Managing Director at Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd., who joined senior figures from the cricketing world, various sports associations, and corporate leaders—all of whom strongly support this groundbreaking initiative.

    This year’s tournament features an impressive lineup of elite blind cricket teams from across the country, with participation from states including Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Punjab. Over the next three days, these teams will engage in highly competitive matches, showcasing remarkable skill, resilience, and teamwork. The tournament promises to be an electrifying display of cricketing talent, with each team striving for the top spot.

    The Siyaram’s National Blind Cricket Tournament will culminate in an exciting final on 21st March at the Hindu Gymkhana, Mumbai, where the champion team will be crowned. As the tournament continues to grow in popularity, with increasing participation and media attention each year, it reaffirms its position as a premier sporting event for visually impaired athletes.
