Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], September 27: The festival, held especially for journalist families, witnessed the presence of former Information Commissioner of India, Uday Mahurkar, along with several other dignitaries.

As in previous years, Gujarat Media Club hosted the Garba celebration at an air-conditioned auditorium on Sindhu Bhavan Road. Members of journalist families participated enthusiastically in this Navratri Garba festival. The celebrations began with the aarti of Amba Mataji, after which journalist families danced to the tunes of Gujarati garba and folk songs. The festival continued till midnight, with the primary aim of fostering harmony among the families of journalists and creating a special Navratri celebration for them. Club President Nirnay Kapoor stated that the objective of the club is to bring journalists together in social and traditional events, beyond their professional commitments, so that they can stay mindful of their families’ well-being and engage in cultural recreation.
