Vadodara (Gujarat) [India] October 8: Gujarat Gujarat State Legal Service Authority in association with gender resource centre, Government of Gujarat launched year-long gender sensitisation campaign in the name ” एहसास न्याय का सब के लिए”। The seminar to launch the campaign was organised at Gujarat High Court Auditorium. Making the presidential address Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal emphasised on indepth sensitisation training for all stakeholders for creating gender neutral work place.
The official website for internal complaints committee was also inaugurated by Hon’ble the Chief Justice. Dr. Bhavna Mehta , Dean of Social Science, MS University Vadodara made effective presentation about gender stereotypes. Various panelists representing different stakeholders namely, Judges, lawyers, employees and officers expressed their views and thoughts. The seminar was attended by all High Court judges, Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat, Lawyers and more than 600 employees of the High Court. Such a large scale gender sensitisation campaign has been the first of its kind in India and all stakeholders have appreciated the positive and sensitive approach fostering inclusion of all.
