India, November 12: In a history-making event, EBCOG – the European Board and College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology conducted a Two Days Live Circuit Course (on-site) for EFOG-EBCOG Part 2 OSCE for helping the November 2022 exam candidates. The course was conducted in association with StudyMEDIC – the sole accredited partner of EBCOG for their EFOG-EBCOG Courses.
The course led by EBCOG and StudyMEDIC faculty received very positive reviews from students who attended the event held at the D Y Patil University -School of Medicine’s campus in Navi Mumbai. The course was really helpful as it helped us clearly understand the concepts, said the students after the event.
EBCOG Treasurer Dr. Sambit Mukhopadhyay and StudyMEDIC Co-founder & COO Dr. Sowmya NS led the sessions with the support of a group of mentors.
Apart from India, EBCOG also conducted a similar course of Two Days at Dubai in UAE in association with StudyMEDIC. Ever since its inception, this is the first time in history that the EBCOG conducted a course outside Europe.
“In the coming years, we are planning to have exams more frequently and in more countries outside Europe,” said Dr. Sambit Mukhopadhyay signaling that there will be two exams per year probably from 2023. “The Live Circuit Course was well-arranged and we are extremely happy with the way the things were arranged and placed”, he added.
Sessions of this first-ever course for the EFOG-EBCOG exam outside Europe were jointly taken by faculties of EBCOG and StudyMEDIC. EBCOG Faculty Prof Jacky Nizard and Dr. Sowmya NS led the sessions in UAE.
“We’re extremely happy to promote the EFOG-EBCOG Courses across the globe. It’s the first time that the European Board of Obstetrics & Gynaecology has come out of Europe to conduct a course for their EFOG-EBCOG Exam. “The course will give students a lot more idea on how to prepare well for the exam as the course covers all exam essential topics, tips, and tricks to clear the exam in one go. So, the course will remain a ‘must have’ for students and not a ‘good to have”. Dr. Sowmya added.
Sharing her thoughts on the success of the live-circuit course, Dr. Sowmya added, “The response was tremendous and it makes us proud that we have done something great. All the students who attended our live circuit course were saying that the course was really helpful. So, we’ve decided to conduct live circuit courses in more countries in the coming years.”
Earlier this year, StudyMEDIC conducted Live circuit courses for MRCOG Part 3 in UAE and India. In India, the course was conducted in Mumbai and Cochin and in the coming year 2023, StudyMEDIC has already announced a live circuit course in five countries as UK, UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and India.
