New Delhi (India), October 7: Chetan jajani of khatiya village from bhuj kutch Dist. Who represented Gujarat won the Rubaru Mr. India West 2023 title and Most Inspirational Personality of India at the 19th edition of Rubaru Mr. India 2023 (India’s Biggest Pageant) held on August 5th at Bogmallo Beach Resort in Goa.
32-year-old Chetan Jajani is the first person in a wheelchair from Gujarat who won the Title at the National level in the men’s pageant contest, showcasing the traditional Gujarati National Costume in a wheelchair. He is the only second person after Kramik Yadav (Mr. Caballero Universsal in 2022) from Gujarat who won the national title.
Chetan Jajani is the son of Samaben Naranbhai Jajani and is currently based in Mangalore, Karnataka, working as a fitness consultant at Kasharp Fitness.
Chetan Jajani was affected by polio in both legs since the age of 2. He started learning that life was going to be difficult for the differently abled person in India; these thoughts of living life in a wheelchair since childhood made him mature at an early age. After completing his education, he started working and living independently. But working and living an average life didn’t satisfy his soul. So he participated in sports like athletic games and para powerlifting games and won many medals at the State level. He didn’t stop there. Pursued in modelling this year.
Further, he added that he is the only contestant in a wheelchair who got selected amongst 32 contestants from different States of India for the Rubaru Mr. India 2023 Male Pageant, which was held from 2nd – 5th August at Goa.
According to Chetan, this was his first ever Modelling experience in life. The entire collection of his wardrobe for the competition was managed and finalised by himself. Apart from wardrobe, he had his traditional costume, tuxedo suits, and swimwear suits in which he had shoots for the competition.
For the Rubaru Mr. India 2023 Male Pageant Competition, he started preparing physically and mentally since March 2023, which includes auditions, interviews, preliminary, fitness, personality and talent rounds. He defeated all the odds he faced being in a wheelchair and won the Title for Rubaru India West 2023. He also won the Most Inspiration Personality Title Award 2023.
He believes that, as a Rubaru Mr. India title holder is a responsibility, and He will work in the field of spreading awareness among people with disabilities, their education and their up bringing and to motivate them to achieve their dreams with strong minds. He also wants to urge people to come out to be physically active, stay in their comfort zones, and complain about life.
He is thankful to Mr. Pankaj Kharbanda, the managing director of Rubaru Mr. India Group, for believing in him and giving him this opportunity. And now, he is preparing himself for the upcoming domestic and international events in future.
