    Candere’s Envisage jewellery competition showcases cutting-edge jewellery design from aspiring designers

    August 24: Envisage, the jewellery competition sponsored by Candere for aspiring jewellery designers on 20th August 2022, celebrated creativity, craftsmanship, and originality in the jewellery industry. The competition encouraged aspiring jewellery designers to challenge themselves by producing works of art that revolutionised jewellery design.

    The event started with the introduction of the sponsoring brand, Candere, which was followed by a master class given by the team’s designers and manufacturers.The participants were guided through the product lifecycle to learn everything about the steps involved in handcrafting a stunning piece of jewellery at Candere. Afterwards, the contestants presented their designs on the peacock theme. Aspiring participants had to envision and design jewellery that complemented their aesthetic tastes.

    The competition received 170 entries, with 20 finalists shortlisted and invited to Mumbai. After several rounds of evaluation, our distinguished jury picked out the final three stunning designs: one winner and two runner-up prizes based on the theme’s versatility, technicality, and adaptability. The winner received a prize of Rs. 1 lakh, and all three were given the opportunity to intern with the brand.

    Sharing his thoughts on the success of Envisage, CEO & Founder of Candere, Mr Rupesh Jain, said,” Envisage’s primary goal was to provide a platform for aspiring jewellery designers who will think beyond all possibilities and to give back to the design community. Candere’s yearly competition for jewellery design aims to recognise their abilities as the benchmark for excellence in originality, creativity, and craftsmanship.”

    Bhairavi Tapiawala, Operations Strategist at Candere, added,”Through this contest, we wanted to solve the industry problems in jewellery like drooping earlobes, gold to diamond ratio, jewellery weight, etc. Some entries stood out as the designers experimented with the theme and explored their creativity to address the problem statement of the competition.”

    One of the esteemed jury Mr Tejas Soni, Managing Partner Hunnar Gold stated,” Being the undisputed leader in design excellence is Candere’s long-standing endeavour. With the Envisage jewellery competition, emerging talents in India displayed their quality and high-design quotient.”
