New Delhi (India), December 22: On the 3rd of December 2023, Bindu Unnikrishnan from Pune managed to win the hearts of the crowd as she walked away with three crowns at the Mrs. Maharashtra 2023, Season 7 of DIVA Pageants, a prestigious beauty pageant spearheaded by the dynamic duo Anjana & Karl Mascarenhas. Not only did she win the coveted title or Mrs. Maharashtra 2023, Elite Category, she also bagged 2 sub-titles – Mrs Beauty with Purpose & Mrs Confident!
Sarah Jane Dias, Akshay Waghmare, Virat Madake, and Vidhya Tiwari were some of the celebrity guests who graced the occasion, adding glamour and inspiration to the proceedings. The prestigious jury panel, which included Deepti Chacko Bangera, contributed their expertise and insight to the challenging duty of judging the contestants.
That’s not all – this seems to be a season of victories for Bindu, as she also took part in the Eduqueen Pageant, a beauty competition for educators, and secured the Eduqueen – Beauty with Brain 1st Runner-up title in the Classic Category!
Bindu is a Physics teacher and Head of the Science department at Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune. She is a University gold medalist in MSc Physics from Nagpur University with 20 years of teaching experience in India as well as USA. She is also a marathon runner, trekker, a sports enthusiast and a voracious reader.
She is a mother to a 19 year old daughter, who is currently studying in the Institute of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Savitribai Phule Pune University. She has been her go-to stylist, a reliable photographer, and an unwavering support system to Bindu, enhancing her look and capturing the moments that define her pageant experience, as well as cheering her on through every step of this journey.
Her husband is a scientist and a professor of Physics at India Institute of Science Education and Research based in Pune.
Bindu aspires to work for different charitable organizations along with her career as an educator and also aims to involve herself in science education and popularization. She is also keen to step into the realms of fashion and modeling, aiming to emerge as an influential figure and be the voice of modern women, who embrace glamour and culture equally.
