Graced by the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Pujya Brahmavihari Swamiji, Pujya Dr. Gyanvatsal Swamiji, Shri Parimal Nathwani, Speaker Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Padma Shri Shahbuddin Rathod and Shri Dwarkeshlalji Maharajshri

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], December 17: BharatKool Adhyay–2, a grand celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and the timeless values of Sanatan Dharma, was successfully held from 12 to 14 December 2025 at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Over three days, the festival offered an immersive experience through art, literature, music, spirituality, and meaningful dialogue, showcasing the depth and vibrancy of Indian culture.

The festival was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, who stated that BharatKool Adhyay–2 is not merely a cultural festival but a powerful emotional journey that touches the soul of India. He emphasised that balancing development with culture defines India’s true identity, and BharatKool serves as a vital platform to preserve this harmony. He also appreciated the initiative’s efforts to connect the youth with their roots, traditions, and spiritual values.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi, in his address, emphasized that India’s true “cool” identity lies in its values, culture, tolerance, and collective strength. He highlighted the importance of connecting youth to their roots, traditions, and cultural values, describing it as essential for both society and the nation. Shri Sanghavi elaborated on sports, youth empowerment, and modern infrastructure, noting that Ahmedabad’s selection for the 2030 Commonwealth Games is a proud moment for Gujarat and India. This achievement reflects the city’s world-class facilities, meticulous planning, and visionary leadership. He encouraged the youth to live life with discipline and cultural awareness, underscoring their vital role in India’s economic, cultural, and social growth.

Providing spiritual insight, Pujya Brahmavihari Swamiji said that Indian culture teaches the art of living, where emotions, music, and thought unite to shape humanity.

Pujya Dr. Gyanvatsal Swamiji delivered an inspiring discourse on “The Art of Becoming a Genius.” He explained that genius is not born but created through effort, discipline, and alignment with true values. Using the example of coal, graphite, and diamond, he showed that though they belong to the same family, their value differs due to structure and refinement. Key elements for life are an attitude of excellence, human relations, and dharma-spirituality. Swamiji emphasized the importance of faith in God, calming the mind, and maintaining balance. By embracing these principles, even an ordinary person can achieve extraordinary.

On the second day, Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary presented the inspiring development journey of Banaskantha under the theme “Banaskantha ni Suvas.” He highlighted that the growth of Banas Dairy from a turnover of ₹4,000 crore to ₹24,000 crore stands as a remarkable example of cooperation, transparency, and public participation. Initiatives focused on a cow-based economy, environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, education, and employment have transformed Banaskantha into a development role model.

Cultural sessions witnessed enthusiastic responses, with Padma Shri Shahbuddin Rathod captivating audiences through his value-driven humour. Musical evenings featuring popular performers infused the festival with emotional energy. Poetry sessions, art and sculpture exhibitions, and lectures under the Raag series were also warmly appreciated by visitors.

Shri Bhagyesh Jha graced the occasion by offering reverence to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, and shared insights on Atmatva (the Self) in Indian philosophy. He noted that inward reflection is deeply rooted in India’s ancient culture and emphasized that while AI may surpass humans in memory and data, humans represent consciousness (Chaitanya), not mere intelligence—an understanding that forms the true essence of Atmatva.

Shri Dwarkeshlalji Maharaj delivered a deeply inspiring discourse on “Human Life: A Celebration or   a Challenge.” He emphasized that we often fail to understand or convey the true essence of Dharma and Sanskriti because we overlook their foundational principles. Today’s youth lack adequate understanding of the four Purusharthas—Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha—which are deeply rooted in our Sanskar, Sanskriti, and Parampara. While humans have the freedom to make choices, drifting away from one’s mool Isht leads to inner imbalance. He highlighted that moving beyond ritualistic practices to make Ishwar the centre of personal devotion enables true union between Atma and Paramatma. Maharaj further explained that Dharma and Sanskriti are inseparable, and cultivating values like Swikar (acceptance), Sharanagati (surrender), Samarpan (dedication), and Pardarshita (transparency) is the greatest need of today’s world.

At the valedictory ceremony, Shri Nirnay Kapoor, President of the Gujarat Media Club, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries present, speakers, artists, sponsors, and the audiences in attendance.

BharatKool Adhyay–2 was organised by the Gujarat Media Club, with Gujarat Tourism as the title sponsor. Adani Group, GMDC, GIDC, RARU, and RHETAN joined as co-sponsors, while Gujarat Sahitya Akademi and the Sports Authority of Gujarat extended their support.

BharatKool Adhyay–2 will be remembered as a powerful and inspiring celebration of Indian culture, spiritual thought, and artistic expression.
