New Delhi [India], October 16: Harnil Shah is a civil engineer, licensed pilot, and dynamic entrepreneur whose journey reflects a seamless blend of legacy and innovation. After joining his father’s 40-year-old business in construction and real estate, Harnil took on the mantle of Director of Business Development at Setu Group. His approach is anything but conventional—he brings contemporary design interventions and lifestyle-driven thinking to an industry rooted in tradition.

Setu Group, under the stewardship of leaders like Rakesh Shah and Deepak Khilwani, has developed over 57 lakh sq. ft. of space and delivered more than 1,000 residential and commercial units across Gujarat. The company’s ethos—Excellence, Expertise, Elegance—is not just a tagline, but a lived philosophy. Every project is a reflection of thoughtful planning, architectural integrity, and a deep understanding of how people want to live and work.

Among Setu’s most distinctive developments is Ananya Villas, a nature-integrated residential enclave in Gandhinagar. Designed by renowned architect Tony Joseph of Stapati, Ananya offers 90 acres of green serenity, meditative aquas, and a 2,00,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with amenities ranging from a spa and theater to sports courts, organic farms, and tranquil sit-out areas. It’s a sanctuary where architecture meets nature—an embodiment of Harnil’s belief that real estate should elevate lifestyle, not just serve function.

But Harnil’s vision stretches far beyond the boundaries of traditional development. With a keen eye on Rajasthan’s tourism potential and a personal passion for wine culture, he conceptualized Barmer Wines and Gogunda Whisky—an ambitious winery estate located in Madarda village, near Gogunda, just outside Udaipur. Nestled beside a serene natural lake, the estate is currently under construction, with branding and labels already finalized. The winery will initially source grapes from Nashik, India’s premier wine-growing region, while simultaneously exploring the cultivation of vineyards in Udaipur’s terrain.

The estate will offer a curated fine-dining experience, pairing regional cuisine with a selection of red, white, and rosé wines. A unique addition is pomegranate wine, crafted in-house to reflect the local terroir and Harnil’s commitment to innovation. Beyond wine, the estate is envisioned as a destination—an immersive retreat for global travelers and wine lovers alike. Within two years, luxury villas will be introduced on-site, blending indulgence with nature and offering guests a chance to experience Rajasthan’s cultural richness in a refined, contemporary setting.

From architectural landmarks to wine estates, Harnil Shah is redefining what it means to build. His work is a symphony of structure and soul—where every project is a bridge between legacy and modernity, between nature and luxury, and ultimately, between people and their dreams. Whether shaping skylines or cultivating experiences, Harnil’s journey is a testament to bold thinking and refined execution. He doesn’t just develop properties—he crafts environments that celebrate elegance, sustainability, and the art of living well.
