New Delhi [India], September 2: The Institute of Indian Arts (IOIA) has once again proved why it stands tall as one of the most promising platforms for nurturing young dance talent in India. In a remarkable display of dedication, discipline, and creativity, IOIA students secured the 1st prize in the National Group Trio Competition, along with several other awards at one of the most competitive national-level dance championships.

This victory is not just a medal – it is a testimony to years of training, passion, and the relentless pursuit of excellence under the guidance of Tej Sir and Pragnya Ma’am, the torchbearers of IOIA.

    A Victory against All Odds

The national championship witnessed participation from thousands of students across more than 18 states. The level of competition was fierce, with diverse performances ranging from Indian classical and folk to contemporary and fusion. Against this tough backdrop, IOIA’s students stood out for their grace, technical precision, and powerful stage presence.

The highlight of the event was the Trio Group Performance, which clinched the 1st Prize, marking IOIA’s excellence in choreography and execution. This was not just a victory for the performers but for the entire IOIA family, who stood united in hard work, preparation, and belief.

    Motivation Through Art

Dance is not merely about movement; it is about storytelling, expression, and creating an impact. What makes IOIA’s journey inspiring is how young students from Dahanu, Vangaon, Boisar, and Palghar branches stood confidently on a national stage and proved that true talent knows no boundaries.

Many participants were performing at such a large platform for the very first time, yet their determination reflected years of discipline. With every step, gesture, and rhythm, they embodied the spirit of Indian classical and contemporary dance forms.

The Guiding Force – Tej Sir & Pragnya Ma’am

Behind every winning student, there is a mentor who fuels their fire. At IOIA, Tej Sir and Pragnya Ma’am are more than teachers – they are motivators, mentors, and visionaries who have dedicated their lives to spreading the beauty of Indian dance.

Tej Sir, with his 17 years of experience in Bharatanatyam and Kathak, has trained more than 250 students across Palghar district, leading them to both national and international achievements.
Pragnya Ma’am, with equal passion and dedication, has worked alongside him to ensure students are trained not only in technique but also in discipline, presentation, and expression.

This duo’s belief in “Dance as a way of life” continues to inspire every IOIA student to dream bigger and work harder.

Why I.O.I.A. Students Inspire the Nation

What makes IOIA’s victory extra special is that its students come from small towns like Dahanu, Boisar, and Palghar – places not often spotlighted on national platforms. Yet, with their determination, these young dancers proved that talent shines regardless of geography.

Their story is an inspiration for:

    • Young students dreaming of a stage.
    • Parents who want their children to balance art and academics.
    • Communities that believe in empowering the next generation through culture.

Every win by IOIA students reinforces the belief that art is a powerful tool of motivation, discipline, and global recognition.

Looking Ahead – From National to International

With this victory, IOIA students are now preparing to take their art beyond national borders. Having already performed at international stages in Nepal, Goa, and Dubai, their next goal is to make India proud at global platforms.

    • Hard work always pays off.
    • Discipline and consistency create champions.
    • Small towns can create big stars.
    • With the right mentors, nothing is impossible.

The Institute of Indian Arts is where stars are created – and these young champions have just proven it once again.
