Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], April 1: Prominent jeweller Kailash Kabra has gifted brand-new cars to 12 senior team members in recognition of their contribution to his company Kabra Jewels’ growth and to mark the momentous occasion of the company achieving a turnover of Rs. 200 crore for the first time in the financial year 2024-25. Kabra Jewels Limited operates a chain of jewellery showrooms under the brand name KK Jewels in Ahmedabad.

Having begun his journey in the jewellery industry at the age of 21 in 2006, Mr. Kabra, Founder and Managing Director of Kabra Jewels Limited, chose to reward his team instead of purchasing a luxury vehicle for himself.

“We started with 12 team members and a turnover of Rs. 2 crore. Today, our team strength is 140 and have crossed Rs. 200 crore in sales. This achievement would not have been possible without the relentless efforts of the team. Instead of buying a luxury car for myself, I wanted to recognise the team members who have played a key role in this journey and have been a part of the Kabra Jewels family since the beginning,” said Mr. Kabra.

Mr. Kabra has gifted cars such as Mahindra XUV 700, Toyota Innova, Hyundai i10, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, to the 12 team members who have been with the company since 2006. The gesture is inspired by Surat-based diamond trader Savji Dholakia, who is known for rewarding his employees with generous gifts, including cars and motorcycles, as Diwali bonus.

In addition to the 12 cars, Mr. Kabra also presented two-wheelers, mobile phones, family holidays, and gold and silver coins to other members of the team, recognising their efforts to his success.

“My father, uncle and grandfather are my mentors, and my business guru is Shri Ganpatji Chaudhary, who has taught me the importance of ‘earn and return’. I am proud to be following their teachings,” added Mr. Kabra.

Kabra Jewels is engaged in the retail jewellery business and offers a diverse collection of gold, diamond and silver ornaments. The company designs and sells a wide range of gold, studded, and other jewellery products across various prices, ranging from jewellery for special occasions, such as weddings, which is their highest-selling product category, to daily-wear jewellery. It operates seven showrooms in Ahmedabad under the KK Jewels brand and plans to open more stores across Gujarat.

Kabra Jewels, which successfully came out with its IPO three months ago, continues to grow on the foundation of trust and a word-of-mouth recruitment model, with no employees hired through agencies.
