    New Delhi [India] November 15: Honourable Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Harsh Sanghavi: Programmes like ‘BharatKool’ will enrich the youth of Gujarat with knowledge of the country’s religious, social, and artistic heritage.

    While inaugurating the ‘BharatKool’ festival at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel highlighted that such events, showcasing India’s art and culture, play a significant role in empowering the youth to break free from a colonial mindset. He called for everyone to come together and fulfil Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by treating ‘Amrit Kaal’ as a period of duty.

    At the event’s opening, hosted by the Gujarat Media Club, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel extended New Year wishes to all, emphasising the importance of ‘bhaav’ (emotion) in our culture. He explained that emotions transform individuals and identities, and the festival will celebrate the triad of ‘bhaav’, ‘raag’, and ‘taal’.

    The Honourable Chief Minister stressed that maintaining a connection with our culture and history is vital, especially for the younger generation. He expressed confidence that events like these will foster a deeper connection between the youth and India’s cultural heritage, art, and history. He added that just as a strong tree requires deep roots, sustaining and nurturing our culture and heritage requires a deep connection to our values, which such programmes help develop.

    Commending the media’s role, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel stated that the media’s objective is to serve society, and urged all to consider constructive criticism from the media for the broader public good. He reiterated that both the government and the media ultimately work towards public welfare.

    The Honourable Chief Minister concluded by calling on everyone to unite in preserving our culture and heritage to realise Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Developed India’.

     

    BharatKool

    Honourable Minister of State for Home Affairs, Youth Services, and Cultural Activities, Shri Harsh Sanghavi, conveyed his best wishes to the organisers, praising the BharatKool programme for giving today’s youth a deeper understanding of Indian culture and values. He encouraged the youth to participate actively over the four days of events, which will cover various aspects of religion, society, and nation-building. He affirmed the state government’s dedication to promoting India’s culture, art, and music.

    Shri Sanghavi expressed the hope that such events would continue to bridge Gujarat’s culture with that of other states, educating people on their heritage and working towards the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

    At the occasion, Gujarat Media Club President Shri Nirnay Kapoor shared details about the BharatKool programme, describing it as a platform for celebrating Indian culture.

    Shri Bhupendra patel and Shri Harsh Sanghavi also visited a Shiv Katha event and a photo exhibition curated by photojournalists at the venue.

    The four-day BharatKool festival will feature various programmes blending ‘bhaav’, ‘raag’, and ‘taal’, including religious events, classical music, cultural journalism, film, theatre, art exhibitions, photography displays, discussions on the Gujarati language, Indian scientific culture, health, business, sports, tourism, and national development.

    Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Pratibha Jain, MLA Shri Jitubhai Patel, Chairman of Ahmedabad Standing Committee Shri Devang Dani, Gujarat Sahitya Akademi President Shri Bhagyesh Jha, Gujarat Media Club Vice President Shri Dixit Soni, General Secretary Shri Sanjay Pandey, BharatKool Founder Shri Malhar Dave, Gujarat University Vice Chancellor Shri Nirja Gupta, and numerous media professionals, literature enthusiasts, and students were also present.
