    Greater Noida [India] August 30: The much-anticipated 4th edition of Pastry Queen India 2024 concluded with resounding success on August 3rd and 4th at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR. Organized by Hammer Group, publishers of Bakery Review, and India Exposition Mart Ltd, organizers of IHE 2024, the event was a grand celebration of extraordinary talent, innovation, and culinary artistry among India’s finest female pastry chefs.

    This year’s event, themed “Revolutionary Women,” invited participants to interpret and portray the stories of women who have inspired the world through their innovations across various domains, including music, art, entertainment, science, history, fashion, sports, and literature.

    A Display of Exceptional Talent

    The competition witnessed an impressive lineup of contestants from renowned institutions, each showcasing their exceptional skills and creativity. Participants included:

    – Deepthi Joji Joshua, mentored by Vivek Kadam from ITC Grand Chola, Chennai

    – Juhi Chugh, mentored by Sehaj Ghuman from Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts, Gurgaon

    – Sana Khan, mentored by Aabhas Jain from Ecole Ducasse ISH, Gurugram

    – Kinjal Rathod, mentored by Ashish Bhasin from The Leela Palace Hotel, Gandhi Nagar

    – Kashish Sharma, mentored by Yogesh Sharma from La Meilleure, Gurugram

    – Praniti Jain, mentored by Sachin Rathor from La Lavash, Delhi

    – Kareena M Dadlani, mentored by Pratyay Keny from Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts, Bangalore

    Categories and Judging

    Participants competed in various categories, including:

    – Plated Dessert

    – Innovative Leavened Breakfast Product

    – Chocolate Cake/Entremet

    – Street Food with Innovative Packaging

    – Display Show Piece (Chocolate/Sugar)

    Judging was based on the participants’ performances in these categories, along with their adherence to Cleaning/Hygiene and Buffet Presentation standards. The judging panel comprised esteemed culinary experts, including Dr. Balendra Singh, Chef Parvinder Singh Bali, Chef Mukesh Singh Rawat, and Chef Eureka Araujo.

    Crowning the Pastry Queen India 2024

    After two days of intense competition and meticulous judging, Chef Kashish Sharma from La Meilleure, Gurugram, was crowned Pastry Queen India 2024. Her exceptional skills, creativity, and dedication to the theme “Revolutionary Women” left a lasting impression on both the judges and the audience.

    As the winner, Chef Kashish Sharma will represent India at the prestigious Sigep 2025 show in Italy, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered. Additionally, she will receive advanced training at the renowned Cast Alimenti in Italy, further honing her skills and gaining international exposure.

    Pastry Queen India 2024 provided an invaluable platform for showcasing the talents of young female pastry chefs, fostering a sense of belonging, goodwill, quality, passion, creativity, collaboration, and respect within the pastry community.
