Renowned for her expertise in multi-cloud environments including AWS and GCP, Kubernetes, and automation, Afreen excels in designing, building, and deploying robust applications. She is also a key advocate for adopting DevSecOps practices, helping organizations stay ahead in the modern technological landscape.

    Afreen’s dedication to continuous learning is evident through her extensive list of certifications, including Kubernetes Administrator & Developer (CKA & CKAD), Palo Alto, CyberArk, AWS DevOps Professional, Terraform, Red Hat, and ITIL V5. Her technical prowess enhances project velocity, reliability, and quality, with a strong emphasis on security and cost optimization within the AWS platform. As a leader, manager, mentor, and coach, Bano is adept at building and leading high-performing teams that drive organizational success.

    In recognition of her exceptional contributions and innovative approach in the technology industry, Afreen Bano was honored with the prestigious Globant Award 2020 – Women that Build in the ‘Rising Star’ category. As the first in her generation to earn a Bachelor of Engineering degree, she balanced academic excellence with a part-time job to support her family financially. Her perseverance led her to a successful career in the male-dominated IT field, where she not only thrived as a server admin but also inspired her siblings and community to pursue higher education and professional careers.

    Throughout her career, Afreen has faced and overcome numerous challenges, from relocating to a new city to working in roles with few women. Her confidence and dedication have made her a role model, encouraging other women to pursue careers in IT. As a mentor and career coach, she has helped countless colleagues overcome self-doubt and achieve their professional goals.

    Currently, Afreen Bano is proud to be part of the Women-Tech community, supporting thousands of women in building their careers in technology.
