Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 1: Sparrows, the oldest species of birds found in almost all countries around the world, are on the brink of extinction today. As we strive to preserve our art, culture, values, and heritage, efforts are being made to conserve these sparrows, which are also a part of our culture. In May 2023, the Rajat Synergy Foundation had promised to establish nests in a natural setting for the conservation of sparrows. Today, there is a sense of fulfillment as the foundation fulfills its promise.

These remarks were made by Pragati Pathak, Director of Rajat Synergy Foundation, at the Ram Chhatpar Shilp Nyas (Art Museum) in Samne Ghat. The occasion marked the establishment of nests in a natural setting with the support of the Rajat Synergy Foundation and the artistic contribution of Austrian artist Joseph Bernhardt.

Pathak emphasized that there was a time when our sleep was disturbed by the chirping of sparrows. A bird that prefers to live around humans, which is now struggling for its existence, trusted the human community, and now the same human community has pushed sparrows towards extinction for their physical comfort. If we do not wake up now, the day is not far when the oldest companion and ally of human life will only be seen in the pages of books, stories, and pictures.

    .

On this occasion, Joseph Bernhardt, a proactive Austrian artist, shared his encounter with the news of the dying sparrows in nature-loving India. Deeply moved, he used red color in his birdhouse art to raise awareness among people. Madan Lal Gupta, the founder of Ram Chhatpar Shilp Nyas (Art Museum), welcomed national and international artists, stating that besides the art collections, a natural habitat has been created for sparrows in this art museum located on the banks of the sacred Ganges.

It is noteworthy that Ram Chhatpar Shilp Nyas (Art Museum), situated on the holy banks of the Ganges, is the largest private art museum in Uttar Pradesh. It offers a multidimensional experience of art. This museum not only provides peace of mind but also fulfills the meaningfulness of art.

On this occasion, prominent figures such as Rajat Mohan Pathak (Secretary, Rajat Synergy Foundation) and numerous Indian art enthusiasts and artists from Japan, Spain, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy were present.
