    Federation of Indian Industry signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Russian Aluminium Association

    New Delhi (India), April 20: A six member’s delegation of the Russian Aluminium Association led by Co Chairman Mr Artem Asatur met the executive members of Federation of Indian Industry. The delegation was warmly received by the members of FII Team at Gurugram under the leadership of Dr. Deepak Jain, Director General FII. 

    Welcoming the delegates of Russian Aluminium Association Mr. Hitender Mehta, Chairman International Affairs Committee-FII spoke about the brief background of FII. The meeting was initiated by offering Mala to the visiting dignitaries. He also presented a small video showcasing the developments in FII and how FII is creating its impact across 42 countries and 22 Indian States. 

    The key note address was given by Dr. Deepak Jain Director General -FII. He said India and Russia have been natural collaborators and allies in defence, power energy and fuel besides economic and business exchanges. He said Russians have always felt connected with the Indian social fabric. He said Raj Kapoor and his films have been liked similarly in Russia as in India. 

    He said this delegation has come at a very appropriate time when India is being considered among the top most growing countries in terms of infrastructure and energy. India and Russia have been natural allies and in the changing geopolitical scenario and India’s global positioning as a major power the current delegation implies a significant development.

    This event which also marks the upcoming G20 summit in India is another benchmark of the exponential expansion of FII across the globe. 

    Presenting the key points of the Russian Aluminium Industry Mr. Artem Asatur agreed with Dr. Jain and said that the progress of a country is visible in terms of big infrastructure projects happening which he could very well see in terms of large cranes and big machineries everywhere in the country and large road projects etc during his visit to India. 

    He said India can think about various collaborations with respect to aluminium with Russia as in sectors like automobiles, energy, power, plastic replacement, development of large bridges made of aluminium etc.

    A MOU was signed in the presence of all the Senior Members of FII Executive Committee CA. Yatinder Khemka, Mr. Deepak Maini, Mr. PK Gupta, CA Arun Gupta, Mr. Ashok Garg, Dr. Shailendra Vyas, Mr. Uditendu Verma, CA Anmol Gupta and Arjoon Garg were present. 

    The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Shailendra Vyas, Chairman Start up Committee, FII.

    Before leaving Mr. Artem said that his interaction with FII delegates has enthused him and he can foresee many success stories in near times.
