Mumbai, December 06: Watch out for the newest face to take the film industry by storm. Noted casting director Ankit Jaiswal has launched model and actress Somya Sachdeva in the upcoming Odia romantic film Love in London.
Ankit has a knack for identifying fresh talent and has launched several new faces in Bollywood, TV, web series, as well as regional film industries. Many of them are doing very well in the industry.
“We were looking for a new face to cast as the female lead opposite Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty in Love in London. There were many auditions, but Somya Sachdeva was the perfect choice for the character. She is currently in the UK to shoot for Love in London and I am confident she has all the right qualities and talent to make it big in the film industry,” says Ankit about his latest launch.
In addition to his responsibilities as the casting director, Ankit, who was associated with Zee Music and Tips Music earlier in his career, has also worked as an executive producer and casting director at the same time in many projects. Fulfilling two different responsibilities on the same project is challenging to say the least but Ankit multitasks with aplomb. His extensive experience as a casting director, producer, and assistant director also allows him to work on films, music videos, and web series simultaneously.
Directed by Tapas Sargharia, Love in London is a romantic movie that will appeal to the whole family. The male lead, played by Anubhav Mohanty, goes all the way to London to woo the heroine, the character played by Somya. The film revolves around the couple, but it is not a simple love story and presents a unique and very different plot with several twists and turns. A lot of new techniques, many of which will be seen for the first time in an Odia film are being used in Love in London. The first leg of the film’s shooting in London has been completed.
