Couple gifts Eyecan’s digital eyes to visually impaired

India, November 03: To give a gift is humane, but to give a gift that helps others is divine! Eyecan witnessed one such couple who took the joy of gifting to another level.

Deepam’s fiance arranged a special treat for his birthday. She contacted Eyecan and proposed the idea of gifting something meaningful to someone who is blind. On his 29th birthday, Deepam wanted to do something novel for society. He thought of many things that whether he should donate food, clothes, or money. Nothing helped him until his fiancé Virti suggested Eyecan.

The couple chose a year of Eyecan’s subscription to be gifted which will help the blind person to function independently. Eyecan being an AI assistive tool lets the user scan their surroundings and explains it to them via audio which makes them aware. It also helps the user read, find and navigate smoothly.

These subscriptions were readily donated to the visually impaired, comprising dancers, musicians, and many others with varied talents. Eyecan will ease their life and help them pursue their ambitions. The ones who once felt deprived of vision today have digital eyes – to experience the world the way they should.

When most people host parties, Deepam and Virti decided to do this heroic act. With just a nominal subscription to Eyecan, they influenced and improved the lives of 7 people. The members of the community were thrilled with this epic gift and loaded the couple with appreciation and love. It was exciting and captivating for us to be a part of such an impact. India needs more such moves to eliminate the terrors of disability.
